Oracle EBS Procure-to-Pay IT Application Owner

This is an experienced position for the Oracle E-Business Suite Applications within the Global Applications team. The incumbent will act as a liaison between the business process owners and development teams to lead the global deployment of solutions and upgrades to existing Oracle EBS applications. The primary application accountabilities include - Oracle Purchasing, Accounts Payable, EBTax and GTD (Global Tax Determination software).

Howmet Aerospace Inc. (“Howmet”) is currently in search of an Oracle EBS Procure-to-Pay IT Application Owner to join the Global Information Systems (GIS) organization at the Howmet Corporate Center in Pittsburgh, PA or Székesfehérvár, Hungary.

Major activities/Key challenges:

  • Build partnership:
    • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship across the organization with internal customers, third party vendors, other IT professionals and leadership.
  • Development lead:
    • Oversee the deployment of customizations and enhancement requests and provide guidance to the developer teams.
    • Ensure that all system development, change control standards and compliance processes are followed.
    • Provide timely, accurate documentation for audit purposes.
  • Technical support:
    • Coordinate and assist investigating and resolving support issues by directing the technical work of application support teams.
    • Track the support delivered through 3rd parties and expedite if necessary.
  • Project work:
    • Lead small to large-scale projects working with stakeholders to – plan requirements, manage and track project schedules, monitor budgets, identify risks, and communicate clearly with partners from across the company.
  • Drive the change:
    • Participate in the analysis of the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvements in individual or cross functional areas of responsibilities.
    • Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in the job requirements and changes in technology.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Oracle e-Business Suite R12 (12.2) applications or similar ERP systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT project work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fundamental knowledge of the following Oracle EBS Modules – AP (Accounts Payable), Purchasing (PO), Inventory (INV), EBTax (ZX), Cash Management (CE).
  • Exposure to the Global Tax Determination software.
  • Familiarity with the following technologies – Oracle SQL; PL/SQL; OAF/J2EE; Oracle Forms/Reports; BI Publisher; Linux Shell Scripting; SFTP.
  • Solid understanding of the system life cycle.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Out of the box thinking to evaluate alternate solutions.
  • Great leadership and organizational skills. Ability to provide work direction to mid-size teams.
