Senior Analyst, Oracle EBS Reporting

In this role you will be the owner and application administrator of the Oracle EBS Reporting Application: Orbit Analytics – a flexible business intelligence, reporting and analytics solution, with world-class dashboards and self-service.

HOWMET IS CURRENTLY IN SEARCH OF A SENIOR ANALYST, ORACLE EBS REPORTING SUPPORTING OUR GLOBAL INFORMATION SERVICES ORGANISATION IN SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR.

Key activities:

  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of strategies and policies around the maintenance, support, administration, and strategic usage of the reporting solution.
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship across the organization, with business partners and user community, and the 3rd party vendor.
  • Coordinate the design and development of data models that can be used across the business and lead the implementation of analytical solutions that advance the organization’s data strategy and promote data integrity and quality.
  • Proactively maintain and improve development practices, standards, procedures, and controls (e.g., documentation, development, and testing).
  • Document release notes, develop and maintain training materials for business users to encourage and improve user adoption.
  • Lead and support system upgrades, deployments, configuration, and technology expansions of the reporting software.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to evaluate, develop, test, and implement new functionality, business processes, and procedures.

Education, experience and skills:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Prior experience in supporting reporting and/or BI tools.
  • SQL knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact with customers, vendors, other IT professionals, and management; can communicate technical information effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Practices continuous learning, interested in learning and mastering new technologies and techniques to improve processes and systems.
  • Sound decision making, capable of resolving open items swiftly and efficiently.
  • Aptitude to plan and prioritize own work to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Solid project management and organizational skills including documenting and optimizing processes.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle R12 (12.2), Oracle 19c databases, PL/SQL and Oracle Discoverer.
  • Oracle EBS application configuration knowledge.
  • Exposure to or working knowledge of one or more of the following Oracle ERP modules - General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) Fixed Assets (FA), Purchasing (PO), Inventory (INV), Order Management (OM) is a plus.
  • Understanding of system architecture.
  • Experience with Orbit Analytics is an added advantage.
